Shortly before Surat Thani, the route turns towards Khao Sok National Park. This fertile region is characterized by extensive rubber plantations and oil palm groves. The construction of the Ratchaprapha Dam in 1987 created this spectacular, vast lake surrounded by towering limestone formations.
