About This Tour
Welcome Back: Northern Thailand Cycling Adventure | February 2026
We’re thrilled to have you back for another incredible week in the mountains of Northern Thailand! After last year’s fantastic journey, we’ve fine-tuned this adventure based on what you loved most – including an extra night at the beloved Pai Village Resort that captured everyone’s hearts.
This six-day ride takes us through the stunning hill country between Chiang Mai and Pai, where every pedal stroke reveals new mountain vistas, hidden coffee stops, and those perfect moments that make cycling in Thailand so special. We’ll tackle familiar favorites alongside some fresh routes, all designed around the rhythm that worked so well for our group last time.
You already know the magic of Northern Thailand’s cycling terrain – those satisfying climbs through pine forests, the reward of mountain-top views stretching to Myanmar, and the joy of descending through valleys dotted with hill tribe villages. This year, we’re doubling down on what made everyone smile: more time in Pai’s relaxed mountain atmosphere and those evening gatherings at Blue Ox Grill that ran well into the night.
We’re keeping our winning accommodation formula: the vibrant Nimmanhaemin district in Chiang Mai for easy access to the city’s best dining scene, and that gorgeous Pai Village Resort where the morning coffee tastes better with those mountain views. The extra night in Pai means more time to soak in the laid-back vibe, explore the valley at a gentler pace, and maybe sneak in some extra time at those local cafes you discovered.

What Makes This Trip Special
What’s Covered
What’s Not Covered
Day 1 – 31 Jan 2026
(47 km, 440m of climbing)
Reunion day! After bike fitting and catching up, we’ll ease back into Thailand cycling mode with the Huay Sieo Village Circuit – that perfect opener through the hidden corners of Chiang Mai Valley that gets the legs spinning again.
Day 2 – 01 Feb 2026
(85 km, 1,500m of climbing)
Time to wake up those climbing muscles with the legendary Samoeng Loop. You remember this beauty – those rolling ascents building to spectacular viewpoints, with coffee stops that somehow taste better after earning them on two wheels.
Day 3 – 02 Feb 2026
(128 km, 2,000m of climbing)
The big one: Chiang Mai to Pai: That classic journey over the main ridge that defines Northern Thailand cycling. Gentle valleys, then serious mountain business as we climb our way to three nights of mountain tranquility. Pankled Café awaits at the halfway point – you know the drill!
Day 4 – 03 Feb 2026
(128 km, 2,000m of climbing)
Pai Valley Exploration – our traditional “rest day” that’s anything but restful. With an extra day in Pai this year, we can take our time discovering (or rediscovering) the valley’s hidden gems at a more relaxed pace.
(47 km, 1,050m of climbing)
Day 5 – 04 Feb 2026
(50 km, 1,150m of climbing)
Doi Kiew Lom Pass Challenge – your favorite mountain pass experience! That Alpine-style ascent through changing landscapes, culminating in those jaw-dropping views across to Myanmar. The descent back to Pai never gets old.
Day 6 – 05 Feb 2026
(128 km, 1,850m of climbing)
Return Journey: Pai to Chiang Mai. One final mountain crossing to cap off our week. That long, winding climb through forest, followed by the satisfying descent back toward civilization. As always, the van’s available for tired legs on the final stretch.
Back to Chiang Mai by 3 PM for our farewell night at the Marriott.

Not just riding, but the whole experience from day till night, where our bike-relationship grows.
